FOSK is a Spanish community of Rubberists.
With the recent approval by the public administration this past December, it has been definitively constituted the first rubberist non-profit association of Spain. In this way, Fosk has become the first organization with these characteristics in this country. Neither a club nor a business, only a free meeting point for all rubberists, without meaning his sexual orientation.
Mission
Instead of having his headquarters and main activity in Barcelona, Fosk has between their members, people from all the Spanish speaking countries (most of them tired of having the language barrier when finding a community where share their interests). But, they had been two years of efforts (organizing workshops, conferences, parties, performances and more) before they could arrive where they are now. And the most important, demonstrating to the rubbermates that they were not alone, that far away from the potent cores as Uk, Deutschland or the Netherlands are, also exists a growing fetish passion. And with this purpose, to settle the fetish scene in their country, is how Fosk was born.
What does Fosk offer?
From the different branches that compounds Fosk, the online community (Fosk Barcelona, www.foskbcn.com) sticks out above the rest, and it has surprised us the fast acceptation it has received from the rest of the BDSM scene of Barcelona. In a short time it has become a point of reference for the latex fetishists and has created his own place and earned the respect from the other BDSM groups in the region. Following his path of expansion and divulgation of the latex clothing, we cannot stay without mentioning another attached section: the fetish film studio FoskMedia (www.foskmedia.com), a platform where different members of the community expound their particular perception of the fetishism and the BDSM. Specialized in shortcuts, it also offers artistic advising to the cinematographic industry (one of his members has won the shortcut price in the past Erotic International Festival of Barcelona for this). And to carry with all this activities, years ago, the needing of having a space culminated in the inauguration of the head office in Barcelona, that serves of headquarters for the recently created association.
Nowadays, the Fosk members continue working, and new projects are arising. For an example, Fosk is participating actively, cooperating with the other BDSM communities in Spain, planning their own parties or making performances for others. They are also finalizing an online shop destined to offer a selection of rubber products, which benefits will be dedicated to finance the association. Because it’s a main rule that all the activities must be free for the members and also, in this way, they are trying to obtain discounts in the clubs and parties of the BDSM scene in Barcelona (for only mentioning two of the benefits of being a member). All that trying to increase the presence of the latex&rubber in the nourished BDSM scene in Spain and hoping that, in a short period, their presence will be as common as it is in the dark side of London, Berlin or Amsterdam.
