Folsom Street Fair

The Folsom Street Fair is the world's largest public leather/fetish lifestyle event. It is held each year on the last Sunday of September in the South of Market district of San Francisco, CA (i.e., SOMA on Folsom Street between 7th & 12th Streets--a one mile stretch of open roadway in the city's industrial zone).
Most attendees come from the sizable local gay community, but participants come from around the world to witness the spectacle.
The fair is produced in conjunction with MAGNITUDE® (the main dance event of FSF Weekend), UP YOUR ALLEY® (a smaller, more intimate leather/fetish street fair held on the final Sunday of July, each year, at the intersection of Folsom Street & Dore Alley), and BAY OF PIGS™ (the main dance event of UYA Weekend).
Since this event has become more popular than ever, some of the elements have founded alternate events, such as Up Your Alley, Folsom Fringe locally, and Folsom Street East in New York City.
