Biography

Jeffrey Gent is an internationally known latex costume designer based in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has been working exclusively in latex for many years. Jeffrey Gent is the only costumer who specialises in custom latex costumes in the Los Angeles area and is know in Hollywood as "the guy to see" for all things latex.

His work has been featured on such hit shows as UGLY BETTY, CSI NY, CSI MIAMI, and TRUE BLOOD. His work on major motion pictures includes production of the SILK SPECTRE II costume for WATCHMEN, and costumes for Sacha Baron Cohen for his film BRUNO as well as Universal's GAMER. His re-creation of the iconic Catwoman costume worn by Michelle Pfeiffer in BATMAN RETURNS was featured in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's show "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy".

Celebrities who include The Pussycat Dolls, Joaquin Phoenix, Sacha Baron Cohen, Janet Jackson and Joan Jett have worn Jeffrey Gent's latex designs either on stage, in films or editorial fashion spreads. Jeffrey's work has also appeared on the covers of several magazines such as Complex and Entertainment Weekly as well inside the pages of Vanity Fair, Vogue and Marquis.

After working as the Lead Designer for Syren for many years, Jeffrey founded Rubbellion.com in 2010, which features his own line of custom latex fashions. Jeffrey Gent is continuing his work with the Entertainment Industry, working as costumer designer and stylist while running Rubbellion Rubber. In late 2010 Rubbellion took over Devil Dog Rubber, producing their unique line of men's latex under the name DDR. With the expansion came the need for more production space and so Rubbellion moved to it's new location in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles in November of 2010.
