Polyurethane

Polyurethane (PU) is a kind of artificial plastic. It is used in the production of several types of fetish clothing, ranging from exercise suits and sauna bags to diving suit seals.

With clothing made from shiny plastic-coated fabrics, the plastic layer is usually a blend of PVC and PU.

PU is a polymer of urethane (ethyl carbamate), C₃H₇NO₂.
