The Surgical Resident
Under the alias "osrpio", The Surgical Resident helped create one of the first medical and latex glove fetish groups for gay men on the Internet by opening "A Young Guy's Latex-Gloved Hands" on Yahoo! in March 2003. This group, dedicated to the exchange of pictures and short videos pertaining to medical and surgical fetishes, with a strong emphasis on latex gloves, drew almost 400 members. The group spun off numerous times, ending with "Guy Hands in Latex Gloves (V)".
Following the success of these groups, The Surgical Resident returned to the Internet with the foundation of an xTube channel, "Latex Gloves and Exams", on which he has posted numerous semi-professional videos featuring himself wearing various surgical gowns and gloves. His videos have brought the genre of gay latex glove fetishism to a new level of quality, making use of multiple camera angles, professional editing, and music.
On September 20, 2009, The Surgical Resident premiered a cutting edge erotic video entitled "The Ecstasy of Surgery" on both his xTube channel and its associated YouTube channel. The video, while not sexually explicit, was a montage of medically- and surgically-themed shots featuring tight close-up shots of his latex-gloved hands.
Since the early 2000s, The Surgical Resident has been at the forefront of the latex-glove fetish movement for gay men on the Internet and continues to lead the way and inspire amateur content.
