Latex clothing has made an apearance in several mainstream movies, notably some involving Catwoman.
A latex movie costume may serve one of two functions.
- It may be used to disguise an actor as a monster, for example in The Creature from the Black Lagoon.
- Alternatively, it may be sexy, such as a catsuit or the transparent latex dresses in the film "Matrix II".
The Club Hel scene from Matrix Revolutions has many of the punters in the Merovingian's club clad in latex and gas masks
Britney Spears wore a red latex catsuit in her "Oops? I Did It Again" video and shiny black latex pants in her "Toxic" TV show. The Pussycat Dolls have also worn latex on TV.
