Fetishism, bondage and sadomasochism are prime examples of previously taboo areas of sexuality that are now being re-evaluated by mainstream society. In the last couple of decades, the depiction of these subjects has become of increasing interest to legitimate photography, and the effect of this has been to regale us with much better quality images as well as to remove stigma, both from the portrayal and from the interests themselves.
